Global Bamboo Products Limited participates in clean cooking forum

This year, the Global Alliance for Clean Cook Stoves organized the global clean cooking forum in Accra, Ghana.

As a partner of the alliance providing clean cooking fuels (bamboo charcoal) to substitute the current fuels causing health hazards and death to people especially women and children around the world, we believed that participating and showcasing the various bamboo fuels reverses the trend was essential. 4 million people are said to die annually from air pollution illnesses caused by the inefficient cookstoves and open fires for cooking. There is a need to provide efficient stoves which use less energy to cook. Fuel sources also needed to be made reasonably and accessible to all communities.

The thoughts and highlights of the various speakers came as encouragement and a buildup towards ideas sharing and partnerships towards strategies on a combined effort towards efficient energy to save lives and alleviate poverty.

The forum attracted 500 delegates and leaders from the entire different parts of the globe.

Present was the CEO of the Alliance, development partners, financial investors, manufacturers, scientist, engineers, the media and many more.

Global Bamboo also participated in the exhibition that was setup creating the much needed relationships to push the bamboo fuel forward. At the exhibition was the biochar, bamboo briquettes and Bamboo charcoal products.
